Job brief
Weare looking for a creative Mechanical Engineer to work on allproduct stages from research and development to design andmanufacture through to installation and final commissioning.
Thegoal is to design and fabricate mechanical components of innovationand excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform a fulllifecycle product development(design develop test prototypes manufacture andimplement)
- Design systems and components thatmeet needs and requirements
- Produce outlinedesigns
- Conduct experiments methodicallyanalyze data and interpret results
- Test andevaluate theoretical designs
- Identifyformulate and produce effective solutions to emergingproblems
- Evaluate the finalproduct’s overall performance reliability andsafety
- Alter and modify the design to meetrequirements and to eliminate malfunctions
- Estimate the budget and scope of the project
- Solicit observations from operators
- Prepare product reports and documentation
- Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories ormethods
Requirements
- Proven working experience in mechanicalengineering
- Working experience with productlifecycle management (PLM) finite element analysis (FEA) andcomputational fluid dynamics (CFD)
- Handsonexperience with computeraided engineering (CAM) and computeraidedmanufacturing (CAE)
- Familiarity with 2D or 3Dengineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g. AutoCAD ProE orother)
- Adequate knowledge of engineeringanalysis tools (ANSYS ProMechanica or similar)
- Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge(Matlab Excel LabView etc)
- Solid understandingof core concepts including mechanics kinematics thermodynamicsmaterials science etc.
- Creativity andanalytical skills
- Ability to communicatetechnical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Technical writing skills
- BSc degreein Engineering
