Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager with 2-8 years of experience in the solar industry. The ideal candidate will focus on identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, including potential projects, markets, and strategic partnerships, primarily within the corporate sector. This role will involve developing and implementing strategies to expand the company's presence in the solar market, with a specific focus on EPC services and corporate connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opportunity Identification:
Research and identify new business opportunities in the solar sector, focusing on potential projects and markets that cater to corporate clients.
- Lead Sourcing: Generate and qualify leads through networking, industry events, and market research to build a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Corporate Connect: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, serving as the primary point of contact for their solar energy needs.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the company’s presence in the solar market, specifically targeting EPC services and corporate partnerships.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements that align with company objectives.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that could impact business development efforts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering and project management,
to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market trends to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Education: BTech in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; or MBA with a specialization in Power/Solar.
- Experience: 2-8 years of experience in the solar industry, with a strong focus on sales and business development.
Skills Required:
- Business Development: Proven experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Lead Sourcing: Ability to generate leads through various channels and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Corporate Connect: Experience in building and nurturing relationships with corporate clients.
- Negotiation:
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the solar industry, including market trends and technological advancements.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead initiatives and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ownership: A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for achieving results.
