Position Summary

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the company's marketing strategy to drive growth, enhance brand equity, and increase market share.





The role will oversee all marketing functions, including brand management and development, Channel development, digital marketing, consumer insights & experience, product development, team leadership & development, budget management, etc.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in the consumer goods industry, particularly within the tissue and personal care category. Given it is a part of a USD multi-billion start-up environment, the ideal candidate should also be entrepreneurial, agile, possess a can-do attitude and able to work with lean resources. S/he should be passionate about the co-creation journey to grow together with the business.

The role will be based in Bangalore, India and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, India.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, emerging trends,





and competitive dynamics to ensure the company remains a market leader.

Brand Management:

- Strengthen and grow the company's brand presence through innovative and impactful marketing campaigns.
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints.

Advertising campaigns:

- Oversee formulation of advertisement campaigns for market growth by driving adoption and increase market share across all Media in an efficient and effective manner and track impact to optimize campaigns.

Channel development:

- Strategize and prioritize channel development, including non-traditional channels, to address the needs of B2B and B2C segments and widen market reach and penetration.

Digital Marketing:







- Lead the digital marketing strategy to enhance online presence, drive e-commerce growth, and engage with consumers through social media and other digital platforms.
- Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing initiatives and optimize performance.

Consumer Insights:

- Conduct market research and analyze consumer behavior to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Leverage consumer insights to identify unmet needs and drive innovation.

Customer Experience:

- Enhancing the overall customer experience by aligning marketing efforts with customer needs and preferences. This includes optimizing the customer journey and ensuring positive interactions with the brand.

Product Development:







- Collaborate with R&D; and product teams to develop and launch new products that meet consumer needs and preferences.
- Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful introductions to the market.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead and mentor the marketing team, foster a collaborative and innovative environment, and ensure that the team is aligned with the company's marketing objectives.
- Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities to team members.

Budget Management:

- Managing the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring a good return on investment for marketing activities.

Others on needed basis:

- Develop and manage external communications, including media relations and corporate communications.

Qualifications







- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the consumer goods industry.
- Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth and brand equity in the India Sub continent.
- Strong Market and Brand growth, New Product introduction, Advertising and Digital Marketing expertise, including social media, e-commerce, and data analytics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.






- Ability to think strategically and creatively while managing multiple priorities and projects.
- Resilient, willing and able to be hands-on; good at numbers.
- Experience in the tissue and hygiene sector is highly desirable.
