Role Summary: General Manager – Accounts and Finance
We are seeking an experienced and professional General Manager to join our team. This position will play a key role in the organization’s funding strategy and long-term financial security.
The General Manager will collaborate with the executive management team to analyze department finances and develop budgets that will keep the company’s costs down.
What Would the Work Entail:
- Financial Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance in financial matters, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Financial Audits, IFC & Risk Management: Oversee financial audits, internal financial controls, and risk management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Banking & Forex Compliances: Manage and ensure compliance with banking and foreign exchange regulations, maintaining efficient financial operations.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Costing: Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost control strategies to optimize financial performance.
- Corporate & Business Finance: Support corporate financial initiatives and provide financial guidance for business decision-making.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop financial models and conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Indirect & Direct Taxation: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, managing both indirect and direct taxation effectively.
- P&L; Ownership & Management: Take ownership of profit and loss statements, balance sheet preparation, managing and optimizing financial performance.
- Cash flow management: ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
- Statutory/Regulatory Compliance Management: Oversee and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to the business. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations,
implementing necessary adjustments to ensure continuous compliance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using Tally software for accounting and financial management. Utilize Tally for accurate and efficient financial record-keeping and reporting.
Your Attributes:
- Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required (CA preferred)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and financial leadership roles.
- Strong analytical and data-gathering skills
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information.
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners.
- Strong demonstrated the use of Excel, Word,
and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
