Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for talented senior engineers who love tackling convoluted problems and coming up with clean, stable solutions that scale. You will be participating in building from scratch the next-gen retail solution as-a-service dealing with scalability, availability, cloud, and edge computing. You will participate in the entire development cycle planning and development to validation and maintenance providing state-of-the-art solutions.
Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Identify opportunities to improve the quality, stability,
and scalability of our solution.
- Our software is being integrated into some of the largest retailers in the world, and we need to be able to scale with them.
- Develop and implement a variety of new product features with real user impact.
- Work on APIs that enable a better digital experience for our internal and external customers.
- Expand the functionality of our solution based on insights from our analytics and experimentation efforts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve business problems and continue to support our rapid growth.
- Diagnose, isolate, and implement remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code.
- Participate in DevOps processes including test automation, CI/CD pipeline, product deployment, upgrades, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Engage with industry groups, stay current with technology and industry trends, distribute knowledge to team members, and form best practices (Retail and Self-service Retail Industry groups).
- Communicate with Solution Management and Product Management. Participate in cross-functional collaboration within the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 6 years of experience in software engineering.
- 2-3 years of experience as Tech lead / Architect.
- 5 years of experience working with Public Clouds (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- 5 years of programming experience in C# .Net core.
- Golang - advantage.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native development, containerization, CI/CD, microservices,
and API development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Retail industry, POS software solution development, and/or SAAS.
- Experience with cloud technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, service-mesh, OIDC, Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools like: GitOps, GitHub, Helm.
- Certification, training, or skills in agile, cloud computing, or software development technologies.
