What you'll do
At SAP Ariba Procurement Product Team,
our mission is to provide the worlds leading cloud-based spend management solution, unifying the SAP Procurement portfolio across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba Applications & Business Network, and SAP Fieldglass.
We are looking for a Senior Developer to strengthen our team and deliver Procurement solutions.
Role:
- Evaluates architecture risks and estimates effort for business case or backlog item; prepares decisions on the topics.
- Translates business and product requirements into technical requirements, models and software architecture.
- Responsible for defining the products architecture together with the implementation team(s); drives alignment of architecture concepts and ensures documentation in architecture concept document(s).
- Identifies opportunities for reuse of architecture concepts or software parts and cross-team synergies.
- Aligns architecture with stakeholders regarding architectural or technical dependencies.
- Authors and reviews design, technical documentation.
- Supports and advises Product Owner by ensuring technical and architectural feasibility, readiness and compliance.
- Coaches, advises, and monitors implementation team(s) on all aspects which have an impact on the architecture; reviews design documents of implementation teams regarding compliance with ACD and relevant product line guideline.
- Implements software parts, typically related to infrastructure or architecture.
- Works as a full stack senior developer for the development of the applications.
- Applies clean code principles: executes code reviews of team members, code inspections, unit testing, performance measurements, and other quality tasks.
- Performs development tasks in a self-reliant way, in-time and quality, and is a go-to-person in the team.
What you'll bring
- 10 years of relevant SAP experience.
- Extensive exposure to SAP domains covering Materials Management.
- Experience being part of large-scale software development projects and a proven track record in an architecture-related position.
- Familiarity with agile development methodology.
- A blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and a drive to make that vision a reality.
- Excellent knowledge of ABAP object-oriented programming.
- Sound knowledge of technologies including ABAP/HANA CDS, Gateway/OData, AMDP, and Web UI technologies (Fiori, SAPUI5/HTML5, JavaScript).
- Strong modeling skills using TAM.
- Exposure to agile methodologies like scrum.
- Experience managing software deliveries by handling teams of 10 colleagues.
- Ability and flexibility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
