About Oracle Management Cloud Gen2
Oracle Management Cloud Gen2 is a suite of next-generation integrated monitoring, management, and analytics cloud services that leverages machine learning and big data techniques against the full breadth of your operational data. The solutions provide a unified platform that helps you to improve IT stability, prevent application outages, increase DevOps agility, and harden security across your entire application and infrastructure portfolio. OMC Gen2 is developed using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) core services.
About the Role
This position is located at Hyderabad, India. We are seeking a hands-on development engineer with a passion for highly scalable distributed systems.
Candidates will be responsible for:
- Design and implementation of DBM cloud service
- Coming up with innovative design & implementation while satisfying 99.999 PERCENT availability
- Working with an ever-changing product roadmap with a broad set of use cases to go after
About the Successful Candidate
The successful candidate should be a self-motivated engineer who can deal with complex problems without supervision. She/he loves to learn new cutting-edge technologies. She/he needs to have solid software development experience to help implement Cloud Service. Must qualifications for this position are:
- 3 years of software development experience, especially in highly scalable, available, and fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Strong algorithmic skills
- Effective communication skills (written and spoken) and strong problem resolution skills
- Very good object-oriented programming skills, preferably Java
- Experience with technologies like Spring, RESTful web services, microservice architecture
- Experience with JUnit, build & devops tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile development and rapid deployment in the Cloud/SaaS environment
- Strong inclination towards test-driven development
- Effective in working with remote teams spread across time zones (USA, India, Mexico)
- BS or MS in computer science or equivalent
Desirable qualifications for this position are (one or more):
- Oracle database knowledge
- Knowledge of Maven, Chef, Oracle DB, Mockito, Authorization concepts, GIT, Grafana, YAML
- OCI Certification is a plus
- Experience in scripting languages is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. OCI, AWS, Google Cloud), cloud technologies/deployments
- Experience in continuous delivery, deployment,
and monitoring of cloud-based services
Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging, or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and/or supervise lower-level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 3 years of software engineering or related experience.
