Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a CAD Designer (Household Products) at Nirmal Polyplast private limited in Ahmedabad. The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating detailed designs for household products using Computer-Aided Design software. CAD designers will be a bridge between Industrial Designers and Mould Making department. CAD designers will receive surface models from Industrial designers and convert those into 3D parametric product drawings while taking due care of manufacturability (plastic injection molding, blow molding, stretch forming, various coating/painting etc. value adding processes, as well as several metal forming processes).
CAD designers will keep in mind - apart from other aspects - (a) constraints of the respective manufacturing processes, (b) opportunities to use alternate manufacturing processes, (c) possible to get consistent quality in production, (d) ease of packing and assembly.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD parametric software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Pro E)
- Knowledge of design principles and manufacturing processes for household products
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate design ideas effectively
