Job Overview:
IIIT-H Data Ihub foundation ( IHub-Data ) is seeking an experienced Web Application Developer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing the frontend of web applications using React JS and integrating with backend systems through REST APIs using Axios . The role also requires experience in unit testing, integration testing, and working with tools like Jira , Postman , Swagger , and GitLab . Exposure to Node.js is a plus, adding flexibility for full-stack contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web application frontends using React JS , ensuring performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Integrate the frontend with backend services using REST APIs through Axios .
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs efficiently and troubleshoot any issues related to API consumption.
- Use Postman and Swagger to test, document, and explore RESTful APIs.
- Manage code repositories using GitLab and contribute to version control processes.
- Work with the project management team using Jira for task tracking, sprint planning, and issue resolution.
Required Qualification/s: B.Tech in computers.
Experience : 2+ years of experience in software development industry
Required Skills:
- React JS : Strong experience in developing dynamic and responsive web applications using React.
- Axios : Experience in integrating frontend with backend services via Axios and understanding of HTTP request/response cycles.
- REST API Integration : Proficiency in working with REST APIs, including knowledge of API security, error handling, and versioning.
- Testing : Experience with unit testing (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library) and integration testing .
- Tools & Technologies :
- Jira : Hands-on experience with project management and issue-tracking tools.
- Postman & Swagger :
Proficiency in API testing and documentation using Postman and Swagger.
- GitLab : Experience with Git for version control and GitLab for CI/CD pipelines.
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) : Strong knowledge of modern web technologies and front-end development principles.
- Problem Solving : Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to frontend/backend integration.
Preferred Skillset (Nice to Have):
- Node.js : Exposure to Node.js for server-side development, allowing for full-stack contributions when necessary.
- TypeScript : Experience working with TypeScript in React projects.
