Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled SOA Admin & Developer to provide daily support, maintenance, and
troubleshooting for our on-premises SOA infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid
background in developing, deploying, and managing SOA-based integrations, with a focus on
reprocessing and retrying failed integrations, supporting DevOps activities, and ensuring high
availability of our SOA environment. You will also be responsible for designing and
implementing new SOA-based integrations between Oracle systems, Maximo, and third-party
cloud solutions ensuring scalability, performance, and system reliability. This role requires a
blend of hands-on development and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation and
optimization of SOA environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Support & Maintenance: Provide day-to-day production support for the on-premises SOA environment. Monitor SOA infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability.
- Reprocess & Retry: Handle production reprocessing and retry failed transactions and workflows, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Installation & Dev Support: Assist with installations, including server startups, and support development environments.
- Integration Development: Design, develop, and implement SOA-based integrations, primarily focusing on Oracle systems, Maximo, and third-party cloud solutions
- Optimization: Optimize SOA processes for improved performance and reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure security best practices are followed, especially with SSL certificates, public/private keys, and WebLogic configuration,
given the sensitivity of the infrastructure.
- SOA Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain WebLogic servers, making runtime parameter changes as needed.
Required Skills:
- SOA Admin & SOA Dev Knowledge: Extensive experience in both administration and development of SOA environments.
- WebLogic Server (WLST): Strong experience managing WebLogic Server environments, including server startups and maintenance tasks.
- Shell Scripting: Basic proficiency in Shell scripting for automating administrative tasks.
- Java Embedded: Ability to troubleshoot and manage Java-based SOA services
- PL/SQL: Basic knowledge of PL/SQL for troubleshooting and optimizing database queries
- SSL & Security Management: Experience handling SSL certificates, public/private keys,
and ensuring secure communication between services.
- Oracle Service Bus (OSB): Familiarity with OSB (though not currently in use) and runtime parameter management.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Oracle EBS and Oracle HCM for building or supporting SOA integrations.
- Important Note:
- Security is a priority: Strict adherence to security protocols is essential due to the sensitive nature of the infrastructure.
- No AI Tools: AI tools like ChatGPT or similar are not permitted for troubleshooting or development work, given the security concerns.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-7years of experience in SOA development and administration
- Proven experience in SOA Admin and SOA Development roles.
- Hands-on experience providing production support on a daily basis, with development of new integrations required only occasionally (once or twice a month).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
