Job Description
The role of a Senior DevOps Engineer entails collaborating with a team responsible for automating the design, coding, and deployment of infrastructure within an AWS environment. This role encompasses tasks such as developing CI/CD pipelines, instrumenting code to capture pertinent metrics, and constructing secure and efficient build processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, Deploy, automate, maintain, and oversee AWS production systems.
- Manage AWS accounts to ensure reliability, security, and scalability of production systems.
- Resolve issues spanning multiple application domains and platforms using troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- Automate various operational processes by designing, upkeeping,
and managing tools.
- Provide primary operational support and engineering for all Cloud and Enterprise deployments.
- Lead platform security efforts within the organization by collaborating with the core engineering team.
- Formulate policies, standards, and guidelines for Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and CI/CD processes that teams can adhere to.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field required.
- 4+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) - VPC, Subnets, EC2, S3, IAM, Cloud Formation, ECS, RDS etc.
- Demonstrated experience in building AWS platforms.
- Proficiency in development and testing.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience working within a large agile team.
- Proven ability to contribute individually within a larger team.
- Substantial experience in utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
- Competence in creating and managing documentation.
- Proficiency in CI/CD practices and tools.
