Job Overview:
The Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architect is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and implementation of e-commerce solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud. The role requires an in-depth understanding of e-commerce business processes, technical architecture, and integrations, as well as strong leadership skills to guide teams in delivering complex e-commerce projects for our group companies and business partners.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of SFCC Developers to deliver SFCC customizations and projects
- Lead the design and architecture of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions
- Act as a hands-on technical lead, actively participating in the development process, including writing code,
reviewing code, and debugging complex issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical designs
- Develop comprehensive technical architectures that meet both short-term and long-term business objectives
- Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and follow best practices and standards for SFCC
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, including conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to architectural standards
- Oversee the implementation of customizations, performance optimizations, and system improvements
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Lead integration efforts between Salesforce Commerce Cloud and third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, Marketing, CDP and payment gateways
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in e-commerce development, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware)
- Proven experience in architecting and designing large-scale SFCC implementations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams
- Expertise in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SiteGenesis frameworks
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks
- Experience working with version control tools like Git and build/deployment tools such as Jenkins or Bitbucket
- Team player with strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively with both internal and external teams
- Ability to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a flexible attitude toward shift coverage
