Microsoft Dynamics Functional Consultant

Job Summary:
As a Microsoft Dynamics Functional Consultant , you will be responsible for working with clients to gather business requirements, analyze business processes, and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions to meet client needs. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between the technical development team and the business stakeholders, ensuring that the solution is aligned with the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of their processes and needs.
- Conduct workshops, meetings, and interviews with business stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for the development team.
Solution Design and Configuration:
- Design and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Supply Chain) based on business requirements.
- Customize Dynamics 365 to meet client-specific business needs, including workflows, forms, reports, and dashboards.
- Work with the development team to define customizations and integrations where necessary.
Implementation and Testing:
- Lead and participate in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions, ensuring they align with business processes.
- Conduct system testing, including unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate that the solution meets the functional requirements.
- Provide post-implementation support and training to end-users to ensure smooth adoption of the solution.
Process Optimization and Best Practices:
- Recommend process improvements and best practices to clients, helping them optimize their use of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Stay updated on the latest features and updates in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and recommend new functionalities that could benefit the client’s operations.
Documentation and Training:
- Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals.
- Provide end-user training and support, helping clients adopt the solution and maximize its value.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for functional and business process issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business,
Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 4+ years of experience as a Functional Consultant working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP/CRM systems.
- Proven experience in implementing and configuring one or more Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules (e.g., Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, etc.).
- Strong understanding of business processes in areas such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Functional Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules and the ability to configure them based on business needs.
- Strong understanding of business processes and how they relate to Dynamics 365, with the ability to map these processes to system functionality.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and suggest solutions that align with business goals.
- Ability to identify process improvements and recommend solutions to optimize business performance.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to lead client workshops, presentations, and training sessions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, developers, and project teams.
- Project Management and Documentation:
- Experience in managing the functional aspects of Dynamics 365 projects, from requirements gathering to go-live.
- Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create clear and concise functional specifications and user guides.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals, or relevant certification in specific modules (e.g., Finance, Sales, Supply Chain).
- Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and integrating them with Dynamics 365.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps for managing functional tasks and requirements.
