Role – MES Lead Development

Job Description

- An opportunity for seasoned Manufacturing Execution System (MES) SME, who has demonstrated strong capability in various aspects of manufacturing processes.
- Integrate commercial MES Product line into an existing heterogeneous IT Landscape. The rollout will be executed in waves in several projects across worldwide locations.

Skills

- Experience in working with PSI Metals solutions.
- Understand the logical business processes and the impact of the defined information flows between different systems. Configuration/ Customization and development of this information inside a commercial MES Solution

- Strategic Planning and Execution:





Lead the strategic planning and execution of software development projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance the development process and product quality.

- Team Leadership and Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of the development team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Allocate resources effectively, including budgeting for projects and personnel, to maximize productivity and efficiency within the development department.

- Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate collaboration between the development team and other departments, such as product Architect- and local customer teams, to align development objectives with business goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding software development activities, providing regular updates and gathering feedback to incorporate into future development plans.

- Technology and Innovation:





Monitor and assess new technologies and methodologies that could improve development processes or product quality, and implement them as appropriate.
- Establish and maintain coding standards and practices to ensure the development of high-quality, secure, and maintainable code.

- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to software development and data protection, conducting regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.

- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on the progress of development projects, ensuring they meet the company’s objectives and customer needs.






- Use performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of development strategies and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

- Experiences in implementing an internal work model to support agile and legacy development process behaviors in collaboration with local project teams.
- Extensive knowledge in cross-functional migration and integration
- Knowledge of Industry best practices
- Extensive knowledge in Industry verticals, especially steel / metal Industry
- Experience of working effectively to demanding deadlines, prioritizing own workload with minimal

Roles and Responsibilities

- Roll out commercial MES Product line into an existing heterogeneous IT Landscape. The rollout will be executed in waves in several projects, cross worldwide locations,





first starting in Europe.Be versatile to manage projects as technical lead, validate design and other project documents created, Provide Technical guidance and assistance in resolving technical issues
- Manage the Development Center to provide development services further local IT Teams.
- Understand and clearly define the input required to create cost estimates, working with the delivery centre to finalize cost estimates and optimize this to bring the best value for our client’s money
- Lead solution architecture assessments at client sites with key client stakeholders
- Travel as per project requirements to European & African countries

Industry Experience

- Any or Metal Manufacturing, Steel industry will be added advantage

Work location

Selected candidates

Currently remote with a potential of hybrid work from office from Pune, Noida, Kolkata or Surat.

Will be required to go for domestic / international travel depending on the nature of projects milestone / business need
