Position: Senior Procurement Manager
Location: Mumbai Office
Budget: 25-30 LPA
Our Client, a leading real estate developer in India's industrial sector, is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to join our team in Mumbai. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving procurement operations for our industrial and warehousing projects, focusing on scaling and innovating our procurement methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement activities for large-scale industrial and warehousing projects, managing items such as MEP, PEB, Civil Engineering, and raw materials.
- Oversee the tendering process, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies for procurement.
- Integrate technology and data analytics to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and operational teams for seamless operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and reporting standards.
- Optimize procurement costs and ensure efficient turnaround times for faster project development.
- Implement procurement methodologies including understanding product specifications, technical negotiation with vendors, and market rate knowledge.
- Handle various types of contracts such as Item rate, Design & Build, and General Contracting (GC).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in procurement, specifically in the construction industry with a focus on warehouse, logistics parks, and commercial building projects.
- Proven track record of managing procurement for large-scale projects valued at least 400 crore INR.
- Extensive experience in end-to-end management of the tendering process.
- Demonstrated ability in handling diverse types of contracts.
- Successful negotiation and management of procurement contracts, particularly in MEP, PEB, and Civil Engineering materials and services.
- Experience in implementing cost optimization strategies and ensuring timely procurement.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and proficiency in using procurement and communication tools such as SAP and Aconex.
