Overview The Head of Sales plays a crucial role in leading and managing the sales function within the dairy industry. They are responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share. This position is integral to the organizations success as it directly impacts sales targets customer relationships and overall business profitability. Key responsibilities Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets. Lead and manage the sales team providing guidance training and performance evaluations. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.
Identify new business opportunities and develop innovative sales strategies to expand market presence. Analyze sales data and market trends to provide insights for decisionmaking and forecasting. Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with product offerings. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with key accounts and partners. Monitor and report on sales performance revenue and market conditions. Drive continuous improvement in sales processes tools and techniques. Stay abreast of industry developments competitive activities and regulatory changes. Provide leadership and direction in sales forecasting and budgeting processes. Represent the organization at industry events trade shows and conferences. Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and ethical standards. Contribute to the overall strategic planning and decisionmaking as part of the senior management team. Required qualifications Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Proven track record of at least 710 years in sales management preferably in the dairy industry. Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team. Deep understanding of the dairy industry market dynamics and consumer preferences. Excellent communication negotiation and presentation abilities. Strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop sales plans and forecast sales trends. Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and manage key accounts. Proficiency in sales CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite. Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers attend events and visit regional offices.
Strong business acumen and financial management capabilities. Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions within a complex organization. Strong commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with regulatory standards.
