Senior SAP SD Consultant

SAP SD Senior Consultant

As the primary point of contact with the customer, this role will lead the design, build, and configuration of applications. The ideal candidate is a specialist with a strong background in technology, industry domains, processes, or specific applications/products, and will effectively collaborate with project stakeholders, including business sponsors, IT leadership, subject matter experts, architects, project management, and line management, to deliver technical solutions that align with enterprise requirements. Strong English communication skills, along with proficient presentation and documentation capabilities, are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage P1/P2/P3 tickets and requests from customers.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in handling business change requests.
- Deliver end-to-end implementation, including solution design, testing, test script preparation,





and user training.
- Implement solutions for non-standard requirements with functional consultant involvement.
- Collaborate with consultants across ABAP, logistics, sales, finance, and production planning areas.
- Flexibility to work in U.S. shifts as required.

Core Requirements

Primary Support Responsibilities:

- Provide day-to-day support for the SD module, handling issues and managing change requests.
- Prepare functional specifications with hands-on expertise.
- Gather and analyze business requirements, design solutions, and manage change requests effectively.
- Execute enhancements specific to the SD module.
- Work on interface projects involving external systems, such as ALE, EDI, and IDOC concepts.

Functional and Technical Proficiencies:







- Identify key business requirements, estimate, design, develop, test, and upgrade projects within the SAP SD process area.
- Liaise with the WRICEF team to produce functional specifications aligned with business requirements.
- Support testing and implementation of fixes and enhancements in the production system.
- In-depth understanding of business processes including Sales Order Processing, Pricing, Revenue Recognition, Credit Management, Delivery and Shipment Processing, Batch Management, Third-Party Sales, and Stock Transport Orders (STO).
- Exposure to ALE/IDOC interfaces, account determination, transfer requirements, availability checks, and setting up batch jobs.
- Experience in logistics execution, including route determination,





scheduling, shipment documentation, delivery processing, and freight integration with third-party systems like 3PL.

Technical Skills:

- Basic debugging in ABAP, identification of USER EXIT, BADI, and BAPI based on business requirements.
- Develop functional specifications, and identify relevant tables and fields.
- Cross-functional Integration
- Experience with integration across modules such as MM, PP, and FI/CO.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to ensure new developments align with the roadmap and integrate with platform components.

- Collaboration and Communication
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing as a team player.
- Effective communicator with clients, focused on efficiency and business value.






- Experience working with onsite-offshore teams and adapting to multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
- Familiarity with support methodologies and AMS projects.

- This role requires a flexible schedule to accommodate U.S. EST hours or other times based on customer needs.
