GTP Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization is a Centre of Excellence. We are responsible for driving and facilitating the strategic direction of purchasing on behalf of Executive Management Team.

PS&D; are, together with relevant line functions, driving efficiency within digitalization, governance, harmonization, group synergies, continuous improvements and digital & IT projects to enable business value. We work proactively with change management and transformation in collaboration with GTP line functions.

Head of Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization is also hosting GTP India organization on behalf of GTP EVP.



We are looking for a Management Assistant within Volvo Group Purchasing India. This position will be located in Bangalore, India and will be supporting the purchasing management team and working with different engagement initiatives within Purchasing India.

The right candidate has an open and positive attitude, is flexible and like to work in a high pace environment. The candidate will work proactively and should have the ability to work on own initiative. The job requires good networking therefore, great ability to communicate, and to work with people in different areas is essential. If you also are curious and love to find new ways of working with different platform and IT tools such as Microsoft O365, we believe that you will be a perfect fit for this role to foster collaboration in a virtual environment.

To be successful in this position you need to have a high level of integrity and ethics, dedication, commitment, loyalty and sound judgment. You will also need to be proactive and experienced in handling a wide range of executive and administrative support. Finally, you must be exceedingly well organized and flexible.



Main activities & Responsibilities:



- Be an active member of Purchasing India Management team and actively contribute to the development of the department

- Manage all the KPI/PI dashboards for Purchasing India and prepare presentation materials

- Coordinate and manage day-to-day issues, support and follow-up plans and activities

- Plan, organize and take minutes in the department meetings

- Lead activities for the Purchasing India Management team, including Execution Plan formulation and implementation

- Prepare Purchasing India for the governance milestones and major events, including presentations as needed

- Support the department with travel, business, general administration and agenda proposition and planning

- Be a digital champion for the department: responsible for the department's administrative routines

- Lead and drive the communication within Purchasing India, together with Communications teams

- Responsible for the information flow within the department on various events

- Contribute to make Volvo Group Purchasing India the greatest place to work



Qualification:



- Graduate with over 5 years of similar experience preferably from MBA background

- Very strong integrity, courage, social competence and networking skills

- You have an international approach/interest and a multicultural mindset

- You have strong skills in IT systems in general and Microsoft O365 in particular

- You have good administration and communication skills, are service-minded and flexible, have the ability to co-operate, to handle sensitive and confidential information

- Communicate effectively by using modern methods and be able to influence a variety of stakeholders including senior leadership

- Ability to take ownership of the tasks and organize, structure and prioritize a wide range of issues in an effective way

- You have a proactive approach and like to drive activities
