The Technology & Operations Risk (TOR) organization at Morgan Stanley has the following mission: Deliver first-line defenses to manage risks to Firm technology and information, and to manage cyber threats through risk identification, control management and assurance. This allows the business to operate and grow in a secure and legally-compliant manner. With offices across the globe, including NY, London, Hong Kong and Glasgow, the Technology and Operations Risk Governance (TORG) Function is responsible for risk coverage across the technology organisation. This Mumbai based full time employee role sits within the TORG risk team which is accountable for the identification, assessment, mitigation and/or acceptance of risks and policy compliance, as well as governance of the Firm?s End of Life programme. The successful candidate will be accountable to the Technology & Operations Risk Senior Risk Officer and will work closely with the team?s End of Life Governance lead.
The role is focused on supporting governance over the Firm?s End of Life programme and is global in nature with colleagues and key stakeholders based in locations across the world. The successful candidate will build relationships across different regions and time zones to deliver the technology program of work, with specific focus on End of Life governance.
Deliver End of Life Governance team?s requirements for Inventory, working closely with teams in Americas, Asia, and EMEA regions;
Build reporting functionality and risk landscape view for End of Life Governance team;
Create consistent, repeatable process for creation of reports and risk landscape for End of Life;
Provide support to the Primary Point of Contact for End of Life Governance activity in Technology;
General: Working collaboratively with Risk Management function and key stakeholders:
Participate and contribute in risk officer forums and governance committees
Work with other stakeholder teams across the firm
Engagement with Firm wide risk and control groups as appropriate to support Firm wide and Technology risk agenda, including first and second line of defence risk functions;
Point of contact for questions concerning End of Life governance from employees and risk stakeholders.
Experince: 7 to 11 Yrs
Experience with technical inventories, particularly with a focus on satisfying risk, control and governance requirements.
Experience of technology controls programs, governance activities, and risk domains, e.g. change management, technology assessments, etc.
Project Management experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office. Advanced skill in data manipulation or automation using Excel functionality.
Ability to switch context quickly and work on multiple streams of work concurrently.
Ability to build and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation and leverage this to achieve work-related objectives
Experience of risk mgt and End Of Life governance in technology environments.
Experience of working in an Investment Banking environment.
Understanding of Operational Risk and associated regulations (e.g. NIST, FFIEC), its application to technology in Financial Services.
Education and qualifications
Educated to degree level.
Have industry recognised risk related qualifications (e.g. CRISC, CISM, CISSP) (desired).
