This is an exciting opportunity for a high energy do-it-all individual to join as a Technical Lead in team of trading systems developers in Pune. Repo IT is distributed across the Americas (Raleigh and New York), Europe (London) and Asia Pacific (Singapore and India).
Main responsibility will be the development and maintenance of software components for use in trading applications.
Develop, test, maintain and improve Repo ITs portfolio of applications along with maintaining interfaces between the applications and other entities.
Work with business analysts to understand user requirements.
Support the Quality Assurance team in the management and remediation of software defects.
Adhere to software development standards, procedures and techniques.
Collaborate effectively with project managers, business analysts, quality assurance and other team members.
Ability to participate and represent the development of functions and foster the project lifecycles.
Gain understanding of Credit Suisses Repo business.
Develop a detailed understanding of client businesses.
Work effectively with team members in other locations situated globally.
The candidate will be exposed to the complete software development lifecycle and will be encouraged to work with the analysts from functional specifications to implement the solution and lead all aspects of deployment.
Actively seek to minimize potential application support problems through root cause analysis and monitoring.
Analyze and debug the existing source code to find bugs and performance issues.
Provide technology solutions, which cater to the needs of the business.
Design, develop, test and implement improvements and bug fixes.
Maintain effective communication with the client community to understand their problems and needs.
Ability to handle, lead and develop a team of 3-5 people. You possess the capability to track items to deliver, manage timelines, report issues etc.
Share the acquired knowledge and deliver training to the team members.
5 years of experience in a software development role.
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or 5 years working experience in a financial industry IT environment.
Good background in .NET Framework 3.x, 4.x, C# & XML.
Demonstrable experience in developing rich client applications WPF and Winforms.
Equivalent work experience in enterprise server applications using C#/.NET, WCF.
Extensive experience on multithreading, asynchronous processing & concurrent programming.
Solid background in relationship databases in Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server etc.
Solid experience in working with messaging infrastructures like EMS, MQ etc.
Experience in Java development would be advantageous.
Experience in working with Sol 10, Linux is a plus.
Ability to learn new businesses and functions.
Flexibility and committed to working off-hours/weekend support issues.
End User Experience related experience for 4 years or more.
Working in a collaborative fast paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead business and technology business partners to strategic goals.
Flexible to nurture a learning environment along with the capability do whatever is required to "get the job done".
