What is the Territory Planning Specialist USAS Initiatives group responsible for?
Working as part of a team supporting multiple Sr. Advisor Consultants while partnering with the Advisor Consultant,
the primary objective is to assist the Sr. ACs in achieving sales objectives for their defined sales territorythrough strategically planned outbound calls and emails to create, fill and maintain the Sr. ACs & ACs schedule. Utilize in-depth knowledge of Franklin Templeton Investments (FTI) processes and resources in order to provide the highest level of scheduling support to the territory team members for effective coverage to the broker/dealer community within the designated territories.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Territory Planning Specialist?
Conduct Scheduling Activities including:
Partnering with the Sr. AC & AC to provide support for territory management by scheduling appointments via phone and email with financial advisors.
Work with the Sr. AC & AC to develop an effective zone rotation to maximize efficiency and meet VAC expectations. Ensure the Sr. AC & AC is booked 2-3 weeks out on their calendar.
Utilize segmentation and lead reports from the Sr. AC and Divisional Sales Partners (DSPs) to book and confirm Sr. AC appointments with financial advisors to help meet and/or exceed the quarterly target number of booked meetings for the Sr. AC. Includes organization and coordination of promotional support for meetings and campaigns.
Document and reschedule appointments in Sr. AC calendars following required formatting.
Documenting and tracking activities in SMART and through designated reports/logs is required.
Driving Cluster meetings & Virtual conferences:
In conjunction with the SAC, AC & DSP, TCs will identify lists of financial advisors for Cluster meeting and Virtual conferences. Load list into email tool (Exact Target) with accompanying documents (marketing materials, Hypos etc.).
Tracking and reporting is used to determine the success of individual campaigns, respond to FAs that reply to emails and target FAs for follow-up campaigns that opened emails/viewed documents, RSVP for E-cluster meetings and non-openers.
Track and analyze the effectiveness/impact of targeted communication and work with USAS leadership to appropriately adjust/develop communication in order to advance the sales process.
Provides ongoing administrative assistance such as:
Coordinates meetings within the territory including reserving venues, sending invitations, taking reservations and making confirmation calls.
Enters meeting and conference notes in sales tracking systems for teams.
Places and tracks literature orders sent to advisors through corporate fulfillment center.
FTI & Market Knowledge:
Keep current and increase general knowledge of market conditions, FTI products and company policy/procedural information by utilizing DBI (Daily Business Intelligence), financial magazines, websites, and marketing reports.
Maintain knowledge of Franklin Templeton distribution channels, cross-marketing campaigns and techniques, current technology used by Internal and External Sales, and firm specific promotions.
Attend on-going training sessions, team meetings and department meetings to maintain market awareness, market knowledge and improve sales skills.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be Successful?
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Commerce or Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 4 years related experience, including 2 year of customer service.
Knowledge of sales principles and methods.
Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred.
Knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, vocabulary, spelling.
Experience in an outbound call center (American) would be preferred.
