Write functional and technical specifications or user stories for interfaces between bank and cloud-based vendor systems or vice versa. Experience of implementing different interface types (file based, API, vendor connectors)
Act as single point of contact with upstream or downstream system teams for ensuring requirements are understood, designed, implemented and delivered.
Able to map out End to End system flows and identify dependencies between steps and then design an optimised automated batch to reflect the process and meet SLAs. Highlight potential failure points and mitigate those risks. Mapping out recovery from failure processes.
Design monitoring of batch flows, taking into account business factors (data completeness / mapping) and technical factors (step failures / file failures)
Proven ability to create data mapping flows from source to target and include the full transformation through each intermediate stage gate. Ability to create mappings for new interfaces and to retrofit for implemented interfaces using existing documents / system investigation
Critically review functional and technical specifications that others may have created and identify gaps with reference to best practice and tracking those gaps to closure. Assist test team in designing test cases from those reviews.
Ability to understand application architecture and how connected components integrate with each other to deliver the platform and understand the technical or functional constraints of the connected system.
Understand and review how a system implements security access matrices including functional and data access privileges, assist in critically reviewing those and integrate into the banks standard control tools.
Assist in the analysis of production BAU tasks, including issue investigation, providing frameworks for remediation programs and writing specifications for changes
Understanding non-functional requirements (across custom-built code components and vendor software) and integrating those with functional requirements to deliver a robust platform
Inquisitive, analytical open mind and self-starter, willing to build knowledge by liaising with multiple build teams, interfacing to internal and external teams, reviewing documents, exploring systems and self-learning
