Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management – Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects by partnering with the application development, QA & testing teams
Team Management – Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members
Process Management and Improvement – Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile/Waterfall Project Management
Team Building – promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
5+ years of technology project management experience with a focus on on-time and within budget deliveries
Proven leadership and strong organizational skills
A consistent track record of delivery and an obsession about customer experience
Analytic thinking and proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Project and Clarity
Well versed with both Agile/Waterfall project management methodologies
Good to Have:
Project management certifications like Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Prior work experience in financial services industry
Good knowledge of data warehousing, BI and AML/FCC domain
High degree of responsibility
Self-motivated and requiring minimal supervision
Structured and disciplined
Good written and communication skills
