About the department
Global Medical Affairs, Bangalore (GMA-BLR) is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs team in Headquarters (HQ) in Denmark, is based out of Global Service Centre (GSC), Bangalore, India. The team consists of highly motivated medical advisors, project managers and publication manager supporting HQ,
regions and affiliates across the world.
The Key responsibilities of the job are: 1) Interpretation & Communication of scientific data to ensure proper usage of NN products; 2) Clinical importance of new findings and impact in future and current treatments of diabetes and 3) Deliver timely accurate and credible scientific medical guidance across medical affairs focus areas towards internal and external stakeholders.
Some of the major tasks include: 1) Communication- Transforming clinical trial data into scientific and commercial communication, used to support NN products; 2) Clinical activities including maintain overview of internal and external clinical activities for specific product/project , provide market-oriented medical input to trial design, protocol development, and investigator selection in NN clinical trials , contribute to trial design protocol development and investigator selection according to market oriented medical input from Phase IIIa and IIIb and IV ; 3) KOLEngagement - contribute to and execute global Health Care Professionals strategy, execute global meetings and support speakers in preparation for presentation of NN data at conferences and symposia; 4) Publication Planning - support execution of publication plan in collaboration with the Global Publication Team, drive development of publications according to publication plan and strategy for each product/project in collaboration with the Global Publication Team; 5) Scientific and medical education - support the development of and execute medical training and communication strategy; 6) Internal Medical guidance - Support execution of global medical strategy, support alignment of relevant cross-functional business activities on specific product/project, support development of promotional materials initiated by Global Marketing.
The right candidate for this position would possess below mentioned requirements:
You hold a M.D. with substantial clinical and/or research expertise in relevant area (e.g. Endocrinology, General Practice, Cardiology or Internal Medicine).
Because of the Global nature of work, we need you to be fluent in both spoken and written English and should have demonstrated research experience (e.g. publications).
It will be an advantage to have an additional education and experience in business administration / marketing, studied or work in a country other than the native country and additional education/scientific degree in research (e.g. PhD)
You will probably learn many things here, but some of the areas we need you to already be quite experienced within, is e xperience with clinical medicine, clinical research and development and at least two years of clinical and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
