The Red Hat Developer and Tools Business team is looking for a Business Data Scientist to join our Red Hat Developer Analytics team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will support the analytics and insights vision for the Developer and Tools Business team and help support web tracking strategies, monitor and track data, and help create dashboards which include various metrics that help business teams track their performance. You will continuously engage with team members to understand their analytics needs and need to be able thrive in a rapidly changing environment while practicing clear and consistent communication.
Your work will help enable the Developer and Tools Business team and partner business team to make data-driven decisions by providing insights and recommendations from the data.
The mission of the Developer and Tools Business team is to secure platform adoption and revenue growth by making developers, operators, and architects more productive with Red Hat's extensive hybrid cloud platform that spans on-premises cloud, public cloud, and edge areas. We increase adoption and revenue through compelling adoption experiences, rich content, advocacy, tools, and community engagement.
Primary job responsibilities:
Support the Red Hat Developer Analytics team by digging into the data warehouse and mapping out the metrics with the respective systems
Create customized dashboards for individual business teams (BU) to help them track their metrics in an automated way through Tableau
Tag content to each BU and analyze their performance in Adobe Analytics
Track metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) within different systems like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau, Salesforce, Eloqua, etc.
Help create a data dictionary for existing data in the data warehouse
Use SQL to query large datasets and analyze the data
Bachelor's degree in computer science, analytics, statistics, or similar fields with 2+ years of related experience
Knowledge of advanced spreadsheet functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other statistical functions
Ability to use SQL and R or Python to query datasets and build models
Excellent spreadsheet skills, including proven experience managing and summarizing large and diverse datasets, compiling reports, and performing analyses
Good communication skills and a keen eye for detail
Familiarity with Machine learning concepts, building statistical and predictive models is a plus
Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, or Eloqua is a plus
