Job Description

This position is part of Enterprise strategic sourcing team, which has the responsibility to manage sourcing of indirect goods and services for Lowe's internal consumption. The purpose of this position is to coordinate with various stakeholders involved in software licensing - primarily with vendors, internal business, finance, legal and SAM team.

This role is to provide the necessary support to ensure timely renewal of software. This includes responsibility for maintaining license repository for all software costing


- Build and manage repository of software licenses with spend

- Execute software renewals, as needed

- Vendor Management - Manage "tactical" vendors regarding onboarding,

offboarding, performance, and contract compliance

- Support the development of vendor performance scorecards in partnership with Technology teams

- Gather data for performance reviews with vendors and stakeholders to ensure value is being derived and achieved

- Support the development and facilitation of presentation materials that are clear and effective to clearly communicate engagement objectives and expectations to vendors and cross-functional stakeholders

- Partner with internal teams as needed (Plan, Execute and support) to ensure requirements and quality standards are met for sourcing efforts in assigned areas

- Partner with key internal resources to ensure an effective negotiating strategy is set and aligned to business requirements to obtain the best overall value based on performance

- Support the development of category strategies and approaches that are aligned to business plans and responsible for the execution of those strategies and delivery of savings

- Maintain and update the vendor database and key information

- Support the overall software asset process for assigned area, as applicable to ensure compliance with terms and conditions of the current agreement

- Identify and escalate risks, issues, and other action items of vendors

- Monitor the tracking of deliverables and contractual obligations

- Track key performance metrics (delivery, financial, innovation, etc.) of the vendor and share results

- Facilitate and maintain relationships between vendors and internal resources

- Execute and troubleshoot the full lifecycle for purchase operations from order entry, receipts (as needed), invoicing and ongoing business/vendor support accurately, timely, and in accordance with Lowe's policies and procedures and proper audit trail

- Ensure vendor payments are made accurately, timely and have proper supporting details

- Work collaboratively with software category team to support the ongoing optimization of Lowe's buying channels to drive work away from manual entry more into pre-defined buying channels

- Advise on potential new or modified purchasing systems, policies and procedures to understand impact to the team's processes and/or customers and/or vendors

- Demand management - Validate purchased vs. deployed count of software before new purchase

- Explore cost savings through the recovery and possible redeploy of software assets

- Execute software recycling campaigns and redundancy elimination efforts

- Work with SAM team to ensure policies and procedures are being followed in accordance to corporate standards and vendor SLAs

- Understanding of SAM tools such as Flexera, Snow etc. and analyzing the reports for enterprise license planning.

- Make continuous improvement to the process
